You already stopped.
Just need to forget now.
Take up heavy drinking. I am sure it will help you forget.
We punters are probably very alike.
We get addicted easily but can move from 1 addiction to another.
As long as we have some addiction going then we are fine.
I was a gambler once and an alcoholic before that.
Now I am a punter.
I can easily say no to a drink or casino but look forward to punting. Wait for the first opportunity.
It's my current addiction.
Will probably change at some stage.
Question is: If you stop punting then what's next?

Depends if you're single or in a relationship. If you single why be so hard yourself? Nothing wrong with you having some fun as long as you stay safe and don't bust a nut over your entire cheque account.
If you in a relationship you're happy in with a hot girl then yes you should at least consider stopping. You may not be able to go cold turkey but can definitely reduce the frequency.
Either way, punting or not, all women will always expect something from you to benefit themselves. In that sense, none of us truly stop this game.

Reminiscing the good memories... why stop that? Isnt that what having a good life is, having good memories to think back on, the stories etc?

Punting is an addiction like any other drug I have been doing it since 17 now 42 took a break when I was in a serious relationship for 7 years then back
Point is if feel the urge try something else maybe get a hobby cause if your bored or having a few drinks and ladies come up in the convo the need returns with avangance
